Beware: This is a sexy cocktail.

It’s sweet with a hint of citrus and bright mint.

It tastes as good as it looks.

You may want to enjoy more than one.

Perhaps on your porch… at the end of a long day… as the sun goes down… with someone special sitting by your side.

I strongly suggest it.

Thai Me Up

1 lime

1 orange

2 cans of basil seed drink (found at any Asian market — flavor similar to cream soda without the fizz)

gin of your choice


Slice oranges, limes, and mint for garnish

In a tall glass, add 4-5 ice cubes

Measure out 1 to 1 1/2 shots of gin — add to the glass

Top with basil seed drink (the basil seeds are the texture of tapioca, they will sink to the bottom of the glass)

Stir with a straw

Garnish with a slice of orange and lime, and a pinch of mint

Repeat, and enjoy!

It’s been dark and stormy ’round these parts lately… The clouds hang low and ominous while the thunder rolls in and the wind picks up.

As the week comes to a close and the forecast predicts more gloomy weather for the weekend, I got to thinkin’ about drinkin’.
